PROSPECTUS

Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with our client to help them recruit for a Corporate Fundraising Specialist to join their team. The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation helping people forced to flee. They protect displaced people and support them as they build a new future. NRC started their relief efforts after World War Two. Today, they work in both new and protracted crises across 35 countries. They specialise in six areas: food security, education, shelter, legal assistance, camp management, and water, sanitation and hygiene.

NRC UK was established in 2020 with the main objective of strengthening the profile, outreach and impact of the Norwegian Refugee Council as a humanitarian organisation in the United Kingdom. NRC is looking to leverage the private sector to provide funding, skills, and strategic partnerships that improve the lives of people displaced by conflict worldwide.

This role is offered on a full-time two-year contract basis paying between £43,260 to £48,132 per annum, with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their London office.

The postholder will work with the NRC’s UK Director and the Global Corporate Relations section in Norway to develop, monitor, and implement NRC’s corporate relations policies and strategies in the UK. They will be responsible for creating and sustaining one-to-one relationships with corporations, private foundations, and philanthropists based in the UK. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the global corporate relations commitments in the UK, as well as contributing to the wider Global Corporate Relations section and organisational goals. They will be expected to go out and secure new relationships with UK-based private sector organisations or foundations.

They are looking for someone with demonstratable professional experience of successfully fundraising from corporates, private foundations, and/or private philanthropist located in the UK. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience in creating new partnerships – including identifying partnership opportunities, designing projects, brokering, and cultivating relationships, negotiations and designing and formalising partnership structures in the UK.
