Job Purpose: The Corporate Fundraising Executive will be part of a team working to deliver Concern’s Corporate Fundraising Strategy. This will involve managing innovative campaigns and stewarding successful relationships with corporate donors in order to develop Concern’s fundraising potential with these supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and manages fundraising campaigns with a view to attracting and sustaining funding from both new and existing corporate supporters e.g. Payroll Giving, appeal mailings, mass participation campaigns etc. This will involve planning and implementing campaigns from initial briefing, targeting, creative execution, communication channel selection to post campaign analysis. This will be through a variety of media including direct mail, telemarketing, press, online, etc.
  • Directly manage all aspects of the Corporate Gifts campaign, with full responsibility for achieving campaign revenue targets (in 2020, this campaign generated circa €60,000).
  • Develop and maintain your own portfolio of companies and take responsibility for delivering and developing plans for supporting the Corporate Manager to secure new income from businesses by using appropriate engagement strategies including cold calling, networking and referrals.
  • Directly manage 3 large corporate accounts, with full responsibility for achieving account revenue targets. These 3 accounts have generated in excess of €5 million during their life-timing giving with Concern.
  • Develop and write professional funding proposals, corporate applications and update reports, and present face to face to existing and prospective corporates and major donors.
  • Assist in the development of new funding instruments from scoping and feasibility to managing the creative iterations and pitching new fundraising products related to Livelihoods and Gender Equality to prospective donors.
  • Manage relationships with corporates before, during, and after receipt of funds and maintain a high level of supporter care with supporters.
  • Track, analyse and report on fundraising results and measure, manage and report performance using agreed performance measures.
  • Organise and support in the management of events and conferences to build Concern’s profile and identify opportunities to present Concern’s work to prospective and existing supporters
  • Manage campaign budgets with a focus on cost control and achievement of income targets
  • Ensure all activity complies with Concern’s policies and procedures and all legislation governing charity activity including GDPR.
  • Take management responsibility for the corporate database cleaning exercise. This will require the post-holder to work closely with the Fundraising Systems and Telemarketing teams.
  • Management and delivery digital and non-digital marketing materials
  • Research new corporate leads for qualification and movement into the corporate donor pipeline.
  • Provide administrative support to the Corporate and Major Donor team.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Third level qualification in business, marketing or related discipline
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills with proven experience in account/customer/donor management
  • Experience in co-ordinating or managing marketing campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to present to an audience with confidence
  • Capable of working on own initiative
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to work well in a team and manage both internal & external stakeholders
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Can-do attitude

Desirable:

  • Good knowledge of Concern’s development and humanitarian programmes
  • Knowledge of the corporate and philanthropic sectors in Ireland
  • Experience with CRM systems
