Position Summary: The Corporate Engagement Manager participates in fund development efforts to support fundraising revenue originating from corporate/business entities. In partnership with the Director of Development, the Corporate Engagement Manager raises financial support by engaging, stewarding, and increasing funding from corporate donors through the sponsorship of special events, activities, and programs and through local corporate grants up to $25,000.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding sponsorships, grants, and general donations from corporations.

2. Manage a portfolio of corporate supporters and prospects and build the pipeline for corporate support.

3. Identify creative opportunities for partners that add value and deepen corporate engagement.

4. Conduct meetings and prepare materials and proposals.

5. Support Director of Development with corporate proposal development.

6. Maintain robust relationships internally to ensure knowledge for potential funding and sponsorship opportunities for corporations.

7. Manage stewardship and fulfillment of corporate sponsorships. In collaboration with the marketing department, ensure accurate fulfillment of all sponsorship benefits, including social media, press, and mentions on all printed and digital materials.

8. Ensure corporations receive the opportunity to engage episodic and skills-based volunteers in collaboration with Volunteer Engagement Manager and internal departments.

9. Be accountable to personal goals, strategies, and metrics, participating in ongoing and regular assessment of progress to goals.

10. Represent Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails at Council functions and events as requested.

11. Must maintain confidentiality when dealing with donors and gifts.

12. Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.

13. Performs other duties as necessary or requested.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

3. Must be able to work with partners, donors, board members, staff and volunteers in a discrete and professional manner.

4. Must demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize work. Must demonstrate ability to handle detailed work with great accuracy, be able to correct own work and work of others as required.

5. Excellent follow-up skills required.

6. Requires ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in timely, composed and organized manner.

7. Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to coworkers, volunteers served by this council, and others with whom their job puts them in contact.

8. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.

9. Must hold (or be willing to hold) membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree (or equivalent) with 2 years of directly related work experience, or a minimum of 6 years of directly related work experience.

2. Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, inclusion, and integration for Council success.

3. Experience in grant-writing preferred.

4. Experience with database management (e.g. Donor Perfect) preferred.
