ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties:

Compassion Force Kitting Events:

  • Work closely with various internal stakeholders and corporate partners to coordinate all aspects of Compassion Force kitting events, including all communications, volunteer registration, inventory procurement and management, end-to-end event logistics, and hygiene kit delivery.
  • Emcee Compassion Force kitting event program,
  • Collaborate with Marketing Specialist for Client Services to develop Medical Teams’ PowerPoint presentation and global health trivia contest questions for Compassion Force and corporate lunch and learn events. Coordinate corporate donors’ employee tours and meetings in Real Life Exhibit at Tigard headquarters.

Corporate Volunteers and Volunteer Group Events:

  • Work closely with various internal stakeholders and corporate partners to coordinate Volunteer Group events, including maintaining prospect list, inviting prospects, scheduling, communications, volunteer registration, and logistics.
  • Host, with CFR solicitor, Volunteer Group events at Tigard headquarters.
  • Coordinate corporate donors’ employee tours of Real Life Exhibit at Tigard headquarters
  • Work closely with various internal stakeholders and corporate donors to coordinate all aspects of other skills-based employee volunteer projects, including project timelines and deliverables, meeting agendas, donor communications, volunteer job descriptions, and volunteer registration. Work closely with Marketing Client Services Specialist to provide guidance for the execution of the corporate donor communications plan which includes Monitor the online corporate matching gifts program; write thank you post cards for gifts over $500.

Corporate Communications and Research:

  • Provide content and ensure distribution of the corporate donor quarterly newsletter and and maintenance of corporate donor mailing lists.
  • Represent Medical Teams at corporate donor employee giving fairs and lunch and learning events.
  • Collaborate with marketing and event colleagues to ensure partner recognition at Field of Dreams, Healthy Women, Healthy World events; and U.S. Programs mobile health clinics.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to collect stories and photos at U.S. Programs’ mobile health clinics, create press releases and social media posts for strategic corporate partners.
  • Support Relationship Managers to research potential new corporate partners. Provide relationship managers with written research brief, as requested.
  • Other communication activities with corporate partners, as assigned.

Other duties:

  • Participate in team collaboration and corporate donor meetings.
  • When appropriate, incorporate the use of volunteers in daily job functions.
  • Keep informed of team and organizational announcements, activities, and changes.
  • Attend organizational and team planning, team building, and learning activities and retreats.
  • Support safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in public relations, business or nonprofit management, marketing, or closely related field.
  • Valid Driver License.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with a successful track record in event planning and/or project management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Detail oriented; Ability to set and reach goals, plan, organize, and follow through on projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
  • Intermediate user skills with communication software: Microsoft Outlook, Intranet, Internet, and Skype.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess an understanding of international humanitarian issues, Christian NGOs, and global health programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to both positively and clearly communicate with all constituents, including visitors, volunteers, and high corporate leaders—both verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate user skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Microsoft Dynamics, and Power BI.
  • Basic user skills with SharePoint.
  • Possess a friendly and enthusiastic personality with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to travel domestically, including ability to drive vehicle to kitting events. Ability to drive cargo van/mini-van (no additional licensure required).
  • Ability to operate well in a fast-paced work environment and be adaptable and resilient in change.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (including some evenings and weekends).
