BRAC USA staff work in a hybrid work environment that includes both in-office and remote work arrangements. This position will be based in the Northeast, with a preference for candidates located in the DC or New York area. This role combines the benefits of remote work flexibility with the need for in-office collaboration.

About the Position

The Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Manager will play a critical role in helping BRAC USA achieve its mission of empowering people and communities in poverty to create a better future.

Reporting to theDirector of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships (CFP), the Manager will identify new corporateand foundation donors, support the development of BRAC USA’s pipeline of prospects and proposals, and oversee their own portfolio. The CFP team manages a broad, cross-sectoral portfolio of existing and new donors to support BRAC’s early childhood development; education; gender equality; health; humanitarian; agriculture, food security, and livelihoods; climate change and emergencies; ultra-poor graduation; youth empowerment; and skills development programs. Working closely with the Director, the Manager will help align funding opportunities with the programmatic strategies and pipeline of BRAC’s programs globally. The Manager will work closely with key counterparts in the broader BRAC family, including BRAC Bangladesh, BRAC International, BRAC country teams, and the Global Resource Mobilization and Partnerships (GRP) team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Donor Prospecting, Cultivation and Relationship Management

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of CFP to support the design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive and proactive development strategy to expand and enhance corporate and foundation partnerships and relationships that align with BRAC’s mission and goals.
  • Identify, research, cultivate, and maintain donor relationships, ensuring ongoing engagement and support through personalized stewardship.
  • Develop long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with corporate and foundation funders that will result in funding for BRAC entities.
  • Leverage and build strong relationships with new corporate and foundation partners to promote BRAC as a thought leader within the global development space.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to promote BRAC’s visibility and brand recognition across donor-facing platforms and develop personalized communication and stewardship strategies to aid donor solicitation and cultivation.
  • Monitor and add new opportunities to the CFP donor pipeline.

Resource Mobilization, Proposal Development & Reporting

  • Support BRAC country teams to develop new project ideas, innovations, and concept notes.
  • Monitor annual revenue targets for corporate and foundation revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align organizational priorities with the interests and objectives of potential partners.
  • Support the development, review and editing of proposals and budgets, ensuring alignment with defined strategies, capacities, and comparative advantages as requested.
  • Keep project records and capability statements up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with grant management colleagues to ensure that BRAC USA meets its reporting requirements related to grants.

  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior staff, interns and peers.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in corporate and foundation fundraising, including securing significant grants and partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the corporate and foundation landscape, including trends, funding priorities, and philanthropic strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with initiative when needed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on diverse teams, both in-person and remotely, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in International Development or other related field.
  • Six years of overall relevant professional experience or Master’s Degree plus four years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate and foundation fundraising.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
  • Experience with Slack, Salesforce or other collaboration platforms.

BRAC USA offers a competitive salary and benefits package including base salary, medical/dental/vision insurance, FSA, life insurance, 401k, annual professional development stipend, and generous paid time off. Note that some benefits are subject to a waiting period, and more information can be provided to shortlisted applicants upon request. The annual gross salary for this position is $76,000-$80,000.
