COORDINATOR ALUMNI & STUDENT CAREER RELATIONS

The Coordinator Alumni & Student Career Relations plans, coordinates, and executes strategy to develop alumni and student employer relationships. Serves as a resource and a liaison. Manages the on-campus student recruiting program. Analyzes employment and career trend data and make appropriate recommendations to leadership. Maintains current knowledge of institutional policies and procedures relative to programs, faculty, students and alumni. Alumni Engagement Serve as a resource and liaison to alumni of all departmental academic programs Identifies, cultivates, and engages alumni support for departmental initiatives concerning professional placement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all direct mail, electronic and web-based communications with Alumni
  • Manage the department’s LinkedIn and other relevant alumni and career networking platforms
  • Capture all relevant Alumni data and maintains the Alumni database
  • Coordinate all alumni events, outreach, and employer engagement
  • Determine employer needs and manage the logistics of the on-campus recruiting program including interviews, employer information sessions, and job fairs
  • Serve as both a resource and liaison between recruiters and students
  • Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of appropriate university information related to programs, faculty, students, and alumni
  • Acquire up-to-date information about appropriate career fields, employment needs/trends, and salaries
  • Career Development Programming Plan and conduct workshops on career placement, resume writing, interviewing, and others as assigned
  • Design and conduct career development workshops targeting alumni
  • Create and maintain communication with alumni
  • Support the Employer Relations events and career fairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Annual Salary Range: $35,360.00 – $40,000.00

Must be willing to travel to meet with employers and alumni. The ability to work evenings and weekends for events is also needed for this role.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Psychology or Higher Education/Student Affairs and three (3) years of programming, event/community management or related professional level experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

A laser focus for detail while keeping an eye on the big picture. Adept with technology, both common and specialized. Experience developing and curating materials with a broad reach.
