Contracts Attorney

Hire Counsel

We are urgently in search of a contract attorney with 3-5 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts at $100k + salary to join a global consulting and professional services company as they expand their U.S. team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Oak Brook, Illinois.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements for clients in the life sciences industry
  • Assist with the contracts management lifecycle process from inception through execution
  • Provide counsel to clients and internal stakeholders on contracting matters
  • Review and red-line contract terms including: Term, Terminations, Renewals, Payment terms, Pricing, Royalty and Profit share, Purchase obligation, Price match clause, Non-compete clause, Non-solicitation clause, Non-Publicity Clause, Assignment and change of control, Exclusivity, Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, Jurisdiction

Position Details:

  • Title: Senior Contracts Associate
  • Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
  • Hours: 40+ hours per week
  • Location: Oak Brook, IL
  • Schedule: – Hybrid
  • Compensation: $100,000+ per year, with bonus and benefits

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of contracts experience as an attorney
  • Firm understanding of legal fundamentals, methods, procedures, contracts’ law fundamentals
  • Excellent drafting skills (including template-based drafting)
  • Prior experience in negotiating contracts with external vendors
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is an added advantage
  • Technical competence in the contracting domain to be able to provide guidance to the team and engage with vendors and business owners on the client’s side
