Starting salary for this position is £54,588 per annum (plus contributory pension)

About MAG:

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation based in Manchester, UK, and working in 32 countries. We remove landmines and unexploded ordnance to release safe and productive land for communities, and work to reduce the threat of armed violence by supporting governments to safely manage weapons and ammunition. In 1997, MAG was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for our work campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.

About the role:

The Contract Director will be responsible for overall management and monitoring of complex, multi-country contracts (this will initially include UK FCDO and Dutch MFA contracts). You will be the key focal point for relevant donor contacts, partners and programmes in the delivery of these contracts and will ensure delivery is in line with contract requirements and project objectives. You will also ensure that internal monitoring and evaluation activities are undertaken to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, as well as assessing and demonstrating the outcomes and impact of the activities undertaken.

About you:

You will have proven experience of developing complex multi-country contracts, particularly in partnership / consortium structures and a strong understanding of contract management, compliance and due diligence processes and donor reporting requirements. Essential skills encompass knowledge of project management tools, partner contracting arrangements and MEAL structures, such as project monitoring structures like Logframes, Theories of Change and KPIs. Communication skills are key to this role as you will have the proven ability to work with and through partners to deliver concrete outputs and outcomes.
