As Security Advisor you will work with our team to provide security analysis, advice and mentoring during the initial launch phase of Turquoise Mountain’s project in OPT: Taking the lead on the set-up and development of Turquoise Mountain’s security management policies and guidelines for operations in the OPT as well as developing a framework for day-to-day security management.
The Security Advisor’s specific responsibilities include:
- Support TM Senior Staff to proactively understand the risks in all implementing activities, developing ways to operate effectively in difficult circumstances, taking account of the balance of enhanced security awareness, operational necessity and duty of care. Develop security policies, guidelines and procedures for TM’s operations in OPT in collaboration with Senior Leadership Team.
- Support the development of a security risk assessment that is adapted to the different needs and realities of the implementing team.
- Create a framework for day-to-day security management, including the creation of an active information network which includes NGOs, the UN, etc. on which implementing teams can draw for live information which might affect activities.
