Consultant for Communications | Habitat for Humanity – AP

Overview

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a Communications Consultant for a short-term contract. The consultant will work within the Asia-Pacific (AP) team of HFHI’s Global Communications division, in support of the following objectives:

• Fund the mission: Create compelling assets to foster donor engagement
• Deepen stakeholder engagement: Grow greater awareness and reach by supporting communication around key global and regional initiatives and events
• Steward the brand: Build capacity and skills of communications colleagues that promote effective communications and brand consistency

This position is based in Metro Manila, Philippines, however Habitat is open to applications from candidates in other Asia-Pacific locations where Habitat has an office or operating presence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Below is a list of specific responsibilities and areas of support required of the Communications Consultant, for the period of three months from 2 January to 31 Mar 2023, with a possible one-month extension. Other requests for support may arise.

1. Fund the mission

• Co-manage projects, handle media engagement, and provide logistic support for major organizational events such as the Asia-Pacific Housing Forum and a milestone regional build in Asia.
• Coordinate regularly with the AP Resource Development team to track and fulfill donor recognition benefits.

2. Stakeholder engagement

• Propose and develop social media posts on project outcomes, e.g., People-Public-Private-Partnership projects.
• Conduct media monitoring by working with service provider, review and update key words for monitoring, research and provide local translations of monitored organizations’ news or media releases.
