The position will be based in the Cardiff and South Wales Region. This role will involve travel to this region.
As an Ecologist at RSK Biocensus you can expect to get involved with management and delivery of all elements of field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Managing small projects (under supervision); assisting senior colleagues in managing the projects that RSK Biocensus undertakes, including managing project finances, assisting in the production of deliverables in line with the client’s expectations, and ensuring deliverables are submitted on time and to a high quality
Working in compliance with our SHEQ Management System
Building relationships with team members of other RSK departments, particularly those which have a close working relationship with RSK Biocensus
Completing fieldwork, including out-of-hours surveys, travelling as required and working away from home
Overseeing aspects of site work and undertaking practical elements of habitat management or creation, under supervision
Complying with appropriate biosecurity protocols
Person Specification
1st Degree in relevant discipline
2 years specific relevant experience since graduation
Full UK Driving Licence
Species specific personal licences are desirable
Associate membership with CIEEM.
Abide by CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
