Innovation and partnership for Oxfam in Asia

In its 2018-2030 strategy “an equitable Asia”, Oxfam in Asia has identified innovation and transforming partnership as key levers to influence systemic change at scale to contribute to the creation of the most inclusive, sustainable, and resilient Asia possible.

Oxfam’s vision for innovation by 2030 is for an Asia where innovation is empowering women, building resilient communities, and creating more sustainable and equitable economies. By 2026, Oxfam in Asia aim to be systematically nurturing innovative solutions that unmet needs at scale* in Asia. To achieve its ambition for innovation, Oxfam in Asia designed an innovation roadmap and operational plan around 4 workstream: people, organisation, business development and knowledge and technology.

Oxfam’s experience is that innovation can only happen and scale through collaborations and partnerships.

Oxfam in Asia incubator lab

The Oxfam in Asia incubator lab 2022-2024 is one of the strategies implemented to foster innovation in Asia. The incubator lab supports Oxfam and partner teams who are passionate about exploring innovative ideas and solutions to address specific systemic challenges at community, national and/or regional level. It is an 18-month program split into a bootcamp, a pitch camp and a leadership camp with periods of time between each where seed funding, webinars, mentoring and support is provided to selected teams to explore challenges and solutions while nurturing new innovative skills.

We are expecting to introduce and explore elements around:

  • Why partnering and collaborating are critical for achieving success in innovation and the diverse roles of partners in innovation?
  • How to build and nurture partnership and collaboration in innovation?
  • How can partnerships evolve across the innovation cycle?

By the end of the webinar, we expect teams to be aware of key elements that can be considered when identifying, developing and nurturing partnership and collaboration for successful innovation.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a consultancy firm or a consultant:

  • who has experience in brokering partnership for innovation
  • with strong experience in designing and conducting thought provoking, reflective and engaging webinar building from participants’ experience and reflections.
  • who can produce users-friendly knowledge products.
  • Ideally with knowledge and wok experience in Asian context

Expression of interest (EOI)

Oxfam invites the submission of an EOI from a Consulting organization or individual with the experience and skills described above.

The EOI must include:

a) A cover letter of no more than 1-page introducing the consultant/organisation and how the skills and competencies described above are met. The cover letter should reflect the number of days to complete the assignment and total financial offer (cost). The cover letter should also indicate the consultants’ availability for the proposed period.

b) An outline of no more than 2 pages of the proposed process and key considerations including:

  1. Key considerations for the assignment and proposed approach and process to achieve the objective.
  2. Suitability for the assignment
  3. Proposed timeframe including earliest availability
  4. CV/company profile with contact details for at least 2 references
  5. Detailed financial proposal (Total Maximum budget for this consultancy is Euro 2,000)

Period of validity:

The Expression of Interest shall be valid for a period of 60 days minimum, starting from the submission date.

By applying for this consultancy, you agree that you will comply in full to the Data Protection Laws and will provide Oxfam International with reasonable assistance and cooperation to allow Oxfam International to comply with all applicable requirements under the Data Protection Laws.

It is a condition of the award of the consultancy that all entities and personnel engaged in providing the services will be subject to pre-award screening to ensure compliance with our obligations under aid diversion, counterterrorism, and anti-money laundering laws.
