World Vision International(WVI) is piloting the approach through the ANTICIPATION project (Asia Anticipatory Action for Disaster Mitigation) funded by ADH in six countries, namely Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Sri Lanka in WVI Asia Region. Part of this operation is the consultancy services to carry out a baseline study for the ANTICIPATION project. World Vision hopes to engage with the same consultant for the end-line study as well.
Objectives of the research using baseline and endline study:
- To establish the current status of the ANTICIPATION project indicators that are proposed in the log frame.
- To assess the current status of the community’s anticipatory actions for disaster mitigation before implementing the project.
- The consultant is also expected to propose an approach for assessing the effectiveness and impact of this project at its completion. It is necessary to define this study with the knowledge that there will be an endline study for comparison.
Duration of Project:
- Baseline research expected to be complete in 45 days
- Endline research is expected to be completed by November 2023
Qualification and expertise requirements
The interested consultant/ consultancy firm is expected to submit a proposal for evaluation with the following information along with Technical Bid Form (Annex A1 &2)
Experiences:
- 5-9 Years experience in research in DRR projects especially AA approach.
- Understand Anticipatory Action: Quality experience in conducting research (need to share their experience in research and surveys)
- Published paper/poster in any scientific journals or national and international conferences
Expertise:
- Preferably have experience in conducting cross-countries research/survey
- Located within one of the 6 countries of the project or nearby
