Objectives of the Consultancy Services
- Design and facilitate a regional co-creation, joint planning and peer mentoring session to strengthen youth participation in the implementation of youth-led community initiatives within the framework of the Youth-Power program.
- Facilitate training in youth participation, change-making and leadership to improve outcomes for youth-led initiatives.
- Design a peer mentoring program for young people to guide the development and implementation of youth-led initiatives that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Duration
- The duration of the consultancy will be in accordance with the deliverables set out in this document. For the achievement of the proposed objectives, a period of 5 weeks (2 weeks preparation before the training, one week for the training and two weeks for the training report) from the signature of the contract is considered adequate for completing the task including the submission of a final report.
Profile of the consultancy team
- Degree in Social Sciences, child rights and youth participation, project development and management, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in youth participation, entrepreneurship, business development, digital solutions and co-creation in the 21st century.
- Specific work experience in coaching, mentoring, guiding, co-creation, youth leadership with the participation of young people
- Extensive experience in facilitating capacity building processes and/or consultancies on young people’s rights
- Experience working in networks for the participation of adolescents and young people in Africa
- Working from a human rights, youth and gender perspective
- Preferable: knowledge and/or experience in working with adolescents and young people in vulnerable settings

- Motivation letter explaining how the qualifications and experiences of the consultant address the requirements of the TOR
- Proof of having undertaken similar work in the desired areas of interest
- Estimated consultancy fee to undertake the assignment, showing a daily rate along with relevant taxations
- It is expected to include a suggestion of workshop facilitation agenda and methodology of delivery in a face-to-face 5-day workshop.
