Social Media Engagement for Asia Inclusive and Responsible Business Forum
BACKGROUND
The global movement of Oxfam started with a vision; a just world without poverty, where every individual has access to equal opportunities and resources. To work for this vision, Oxfam encouraged people in adapting change by being part of the process that allows them to be the driver of every change within their society. To achieve its goal, Oxfam has been collaborating with different partner organizations, media, government institutions, private sectors, community groups, influencers, and other changemakers to expand the productivity of its work on gender, climate and economic issues.
The economic aspect of Oxfam’s work focuses on building sustainable and responsible economic structures that are human-centric. For this purpose, Oxfam has been actively engaged with private sector to promote business practices that contribute to the quality of life of the communities we work in. Considering that these collaborations affect the communities, Oxfam have been empowering and channelling the public voices on these issues with its intervention through multiple projects. The aim of these interventions is to aware communities, influence government and private sector to change policies and practices for just and resilient societies.
SCOPE OF WORK
Oxfam is organizing a two-days flagship event in Bangkok, Thailand to hold dialogues on the inclusive and responsible business practices and showcase the successful business models that are contributing to the global good. The event will include, plenary discussions, dialogues, group activities and presentations to learn and share experiences for mutual capacity building. Therefore, Oxfam is seeking support of the consultant to create massive social media engagement before, during and after the event. This engagement will be done through social media posters, captions, short video, infographics and tweets.
The consultant will provide services on a consultancy contract whereby the agreed quote will be paid to the selected institution. The payments will be released as the deliverables are finalized and shared with the team.
DELIVERABLES
Oxfam set forth below deliverables for this project
- At least 10000 people have been reached through social media posts
- Develop 10 pictorial and graphical social media posts – optimized for Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter and Instagram
- 10 captions for aforementioned posts, adapted according to the requirement of each social media platform
- Hashtag(s) to be developed and vetted by Oxfam before the forum
- Create 15 important tweets from the event – mainly plenary discussions
- Create 2 clear and creative infographics of the event entailing key highlights
- Identify and connect with 10 relevant social media platforms for further dissemination of posts
- Draft designs of all the posts before the event
- A detailed social media engagement plan containing the dates and the content to be posted on social media
- A short report, containing all the data on social media engagements through each platform including the engagement on other social media pages
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
The payment to the selected consultant/firm would be done as per the below timeline
- 30 % upon signing of the contract
- 70% upon submission of final report
All the logistics, i.e. boarding and lodging will be borne by the consultant/firm
EXPERTISE of the CONSULTANT/FIRM
The applicants are required to fulfil the following criteria:
- The individual consultant/ firm needs to have a creative team in the group for this assignment
- Strong experience in social media engagement through all the social platforms
- Proven skills in developing social media posts, i.e., images, short videos and captions
- Exhibited expertise in coordinating and collaborating with other social media pages
- Ability to follow the timeline and rigorous communication with the project team
- Proven experience of successful work with the international organizations
IMPORTANT NOTES
- The consultant will be expected to work closely with Oxfam staff at each stage.
- All rights for the content produced including designs and other material will remain with Oxfam.
- The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely submission of the deliverables.
- The consultant will be bound to adhere to the branding and sensitivity guidelines of Oxfam.
- All editable files of the content will be shared with Oxfam
PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION
Interested candidates should submit:
- Technical and Financial proposal (including the Consultant’s taxpayer status)
- Sample of previous work relevant to the proposed task – including evidence of high engagement on social media interventions
- Please include all attachments in the email and do not use a cloud storage service.
- CV/company profile
- Detailed financial offer/costs with requested terms of payment. It is expected that the financial offer includes a primary budget breakdown of costs (for example fees, taxes, etc.)
