ABOUT OXFAM

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. That means we tackle the inequality that keeps people poor. Together we save, protect and rebuild lives. When disaster strikes, we help people build better lives for themselves, and for others. We take on issues like land rights, climate change, and discrimination against women. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can enjoy a life free from poverty. We are an international confederation of 19 organizations (affiliates) working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development, and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.

All our work is led by three core values: Empowerment, Accountability, and Inclusiveness. To read more about our values please click here

PURPOSE OF THIS RFP

Oxfam in Occupied Palestinian Territory (Opt) and at the Regional level is part of Oxfam Great Britain (GB) strategy of ‘transforming and valuing women’s work for a new caring economy’. Within five years, the strategy aims to address the global challenge of undervaluing women’s work and to unlock change across the whole work system. There is a gap in the information related to the allocation of aid to addressing specific social and economic issues, particularly in areas of women’s economic justice and valuing women’s work. Oxfam is seeking to understand past and present donors’ priorities and interventions when it comes to valuing women’s work and how it affects them.

Oxfam is seeking to commission a consultant/team to undertake a piece of scoping research to help inform Oxfam’s work and advocacy on valuing women’s work. services shall be provided according to conditions and requirements detailed in this Request For Proposal (RFP).
