Job Purpose:

To assists and provide support to the compliance manager with everything to ensure full compliance of donors, local laws and rules

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the full compliance of the internal procedures and controls mechanism with the IYD policies and procedures, donors’ requirements and Government regulations
  • Review all CBAs related to current transactions.
  • Review all payment orders above 1000 $ related to the current transaction.
  • Select a random sample for under 1000$ transactions and prepare a suitable report.
  • Document, evaluate, and test systems and controls to determine their adequacy and effectiveness to ensure (i) compliance with rules and regulations, (ii) accomplishment of management’s objectives, (iii) reliability and integrity of information, (iv) economic use of resources.
  • Conduct independent and objective verifications of expenditures processed under the Managed Cash Flow scheme. Conduct Field Monitor Visits and test payments made through the reimbursement claims for completeness and verification by the beneficiaries.
  • Participate in all allegations after coordination with the compliance manager.
  • Ensure through spot checks and appropriate systems that relevant procedures and supporting documents are exhaustive and consistent.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation status of recommendations resulting from verifications mission and the internal/external audits.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on issues and any material weaknesses identified during the review period.
  • Participate in preparing all types of external audits.

Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.

Qualification (Education – Work Experience):

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree financial or any relevant certificate
  • Native Arabic Speaker
  • Good level of English.
  • Minimum Three years of experience in a similar position

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an NGO environment
  • Native-like level of English
  • Professional financial examination certificate.
