Taurus SA is a FINMA-regulated securities firm operating the first independent digital-asset marketplace both for crypto-currencies and tokenized assets/securities, and is looking for an organized and very dynamic compliance officer. Tasks

Compliance (approx. 80%)

  • Handle day-to-day compliance tasks: opening client accounts and performing daily compliance monitoring and investigations
  • Propose, put in place and monitor controls related to compliance risks, in particular, but not limited to AML, cross-border, best execution, suitability, international sanctions, tax
  • Perform detailed AML analysis, blockchain sources of funds analysis, proof-of-control checks; maintain up-to-date client masterfile and AML register
  • Draft and update compliance-related policies and procedures, document controls
  • Train and raise awareness of compliance risks among employees
  • Propose and execute compliance monitoring program (CMP)
  • Contribute to the communication and reporting to regulatory authorities (e.g., FINMA, MROS, auditors)
  • Contribute to providing a bi-annual reporting to the Management Team and the Board
  • Ensure smooth relationship and collaboration with other control functions
  • Actively contribute to regulatory and AML audits, regulatory watch
  • Design and perform compliant controls

Legal support (approx. 20%)

  • Provide legal advice to the Management team
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documentation
  • Draft and manage policies & procedures about the Legal function
  • Ensure smooth relationship and collaboration with other control functions

Requirements

  • Law or economics degree with specialization in finance
  • Very good knowledge of Swiss legal and regulatory matters. Solid understanding of digital asset regulatory framework in Switzerland and globally
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar function with regulated financial institution(s), such as a bank or a securities firm
  • Strong interest in digital assets, distributed ledgers and cryptocurrencies
  • Very dynamic, energetic
  • Organized, autonomous and solution-oriented
  • Fluent in English and French. German a strong plus
