Job Overview: The Community Partnerships Coordinator supports the successful integration of immigrants fleeing Ukraine by leading programming that harnesses the power of welcoming communities. This individual will coordinate with IRC staff to lead the program on community outreach, building and maintaining community partnerships and relationships, and acting as a member of the program’s leadership team

Major Responsibilities:

· Refine and implement an effective partnership strategy for the benefit of the IRC clients

· Serve as the primary point of contact at IRC with local Ukrainian/Russian community leaders and organizations

· Develop and maintain necessary community relationships.

· Attend community meetings, meet with local partners and coordinate services with appropriate agencies and organizations.

· Collaborate with IRC colleagues, particularly the Community Engagement Unit to amplify messaging about IRC’s work and how community members can support Ukrainian/Russian immigrant families.

· Increase community engagement through outreach.

· Meet with Slavic community members, deliver presentations, represent IRC at local meetings, and create tools, fact sheets, presentations, and templates.

· Work effectively with all IRC departments to ensure integrated, aligned programming.

· Ensure compliance with case file management and reporting requirements.

· Ensure that all programs meet required grant outcomes, provide high-quality client care, and maintain data and documentation per funder requirements.

  • Maintain internal tracking systems and data collection.
  • Assist with reporting on program objectives and accomplishments.

· Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities, trauma-informed care trainings, and fully engages as a member of the team.

· Stay up to date with all U.S. immigration policy changes and developments, as well as local issues relating to immigrants.

· Support the resolution of any issues that may arise.

· Coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely delivery and documentation of services for sponsored families, in accordance with funder guidelines.

· Assist with the collection and distribution of in-kind and monetary donations as needed.

· Use personal, insured vehicle and/or public transportation (where available) to travel and transport clients and materials as needed throughout the service delivery area.

· May train and manage others, including staff, volunteers, and interns.

· Other duties as assigned.

External: The Community Partnerships Coordinator will develop working relationships with Bryte Slavic Church, Spring of Life Family Church, and Revival Slavik Christian Center in addition to governmental agencies and community service providers to promote client referrals and improve client access to developmentally appropriate services. This includes, but is not limited to school providers, health providers, benefits access, housing services, legal services, mental health services, and law enforcement.

Job Requirements:

· BA degree with an emphasis in Social Work, Migration Studies, Public Health, Refugee Studies, Development, Immigration Law, or an equivalent field of study.

· 4+ years of professional experience working with asylum-seeking families, refugees, internally displaced persons, or individuals without status.

· 4+ years of case management and/or victims assistance experience in a social service, non-profit setting.

· 1+ year of professional experience in direct supervision of volunteers, interns, and/or staff

· Previous multi-cultural experience and demonstrated ability to communicate well with people of varied backgrounds strongly preferred.

· Thorough understanding of the U.S. immigration system and the rights of immigrants.

· Comfortability collaborating with governmental agencies and community providers.

· Ukrainian/Russian written and verbal communication skills required.

· Strong computer skills required. Prior experience using data and tracking systems strongly preferred.

· Strong ability to multi-task and juggle various competing priorities.

· Attention to detail and ability to organize and track large amounts of information efficiently and accurately.

· Strong partnership building skills.

· Commitment to teamwork and collaboration across all of IRC’s programs.

· Must have a valid driver’s license, active insurance policy and access to reliable transportation.

Working Environment: A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. May require weekend and/or evening work.
