Behavioural Change Communication Activities on environmentally sustainable SWM practices.

  • Monitor, Coach, supervise, support trainings & provide a technical support to the project IBVs on daily work/basis.
  • Support building IBV’s capacity towards waste segregation process and procedures to support SWM practices, Communication, mobilization, Outreach, Initiatives planning and Documentation.
  • Action/activity plans to be prepared and in collaboration with Field Coordinator,
  • Daily monitoring, observing, coaching and following up to the outreach IBVs.
  • Ensure the successful operation of the activities in the camp following organizational standard operation procedures (SOPs) and the camp SOPs.
  • WVJ policies and procedure are followed by the staff and IBVs in the field.
  • All needed materials are supported, developed updated and confirmed with BCC. Field coordinator.

Behavioural Change Communication and information sharing.

Azraq Camp community engagements

  • Component support by establishing and strengthening very good relations with community-and SWM project.
  • Support Liaising and conducting sessions with community leaders, HHs, and project ambassadors to introduce project activities through the project objectives and practices, keeping the community updated.
  • Organize, outreach, facilitate and actively participate in community gatherings and Focus Groups discussions at a blocks level.
  • Ensure that IBVs are having daily work-plans and tasks, distributed on timely basis in coordination with the line manager /supervisors.
  • Ensure that accomplishment of daily tasks and attendances are recorded and handled to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that all publications awareness material and printed materials are updated, developed and available for distribution in the camp with coordination with F.C
  • Supervise and facilitate trainings for the project components by engaging the IBV’s in the work cycle sessions.
  • Serve as a focal person for effective communication between community groups /leaders/volunteers and SWM project.

Reporting and IBV’s follow

Inventory tracking and Asset maintain

  • Inventory and assets records for PPEs, refreshments, printing material, etc… in the camp are updated on timely basis and available.
  • Documentation process as following up on the preparing regular reports, action plans and follow up and feedback tools
  • Ensure the timely submission of the required reports to the line manager.
  • Ensure timely sharing of updates, action points, relevant information and plans for the up-coming week.
  • Ensure the submission of daily workers’ attendance is maintained and shared with the assigned team member
  • Ensure the required supplies, PPEs and project tools are in place, data are recorded.
  • Weekly Plan, Monthly report and action plan are submitted.
  • All the BCC related records/reports and filing system is maintained and original copies are available when required.

Any other tasks by the line manager

In coordination with field teams, schedule the collection of weekly attendance sheets and cross check with IBVs’ agreements to ensure compliance with WV procedures.

  • Fully prepared to handle the required tasks by the line manager.
  • To provide the needed support to the project upon the FC/PM request.

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in communities or camp setting in related field.
  • Good communication skills – an ability and willingness to work with people in difficult personal circumstances
  • Willingness to learn fast and work in the refugee camp.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours, on holidays and weekends
  • Working in the humanitarian filed with INGOs.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Education level should be bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in environmental or any related fields,
  • Conversant command of oral and written English
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Dedication to the humanitarian cause
  • Be proactive and anticipate emergencies.
  • Good written and oral Arabic communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with an attention to details.
  • Requires strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • Must be able to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Working under pressure in multiple tasks.
  • Computer literate, Online systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, power point).

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Community mobilizer trainings.
  • Communications certificate.
  • Design software is an asset.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

Daily travel to Azraq Camp

100% field staff

Physical Requirements

Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.

Clear words and calm attitude.

Language Requirements

Arabic and English skills
