Job Purpose

We are recruiting for a permanent Community Fundraising & Engagement Manager to join our Regional Fundraising & Engagement team. Reporting directly to the Regional Fundraising & Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for maximising regional donations and corporate financial contribution through effective, supporter-led acquisition, volunteer and account management.

Some Key duties include:

  • Driving growth in our key income streams of regional corporates, ‘in aid of’ fundraising individuals and fundraising groups through new business and account management
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the regional pipeline of partnership opportunities for our key income streams
  • Working closely with the regional corporate team to grow the regional corporate pipeline and discuss support needs for opportunities where relevant
  • Supporting local fundraising groups to maximise their fundraising potential
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers to raise awareness of the charity in local communities
  • Contributing to departmental income reporting, budgeting and forecasting

Person Profile

Experience

  • Experience of corporate new business and track-record of securing new partnerships worth over £5k
  • Experience of managing high-value corporate, fundraising group and individual relationships & delivering exceptional supporter experience
  • Experience of managing volunteers
  • Experience of working with Fundraising databases (e.g. CARE) and pipelines

Abilities

  • Ability to establish professional credibility quickly with colleagues, and to interact effectively with staff at all levels and across all departments
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects and their competing demands

Aptitude

  • A demonstrable commitment to the principles of diversity and inclusion and their practical application and integration in the work environment
  • A commitment to Save the Children UK’s aims and core values of accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity, and integrity

Remote Working:

The majority of SCUK employees are currently working remotely within the UK in line with UK Government guidance. Commencing July 2021 we will transition to flexible and hybrid ways of working (i.e. a mixture of remote/home and office-based working) as social distancing restrictions ease.
