PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Communications Officer will develop an overall communications and public affairs strategy. S/he will manage the organization’s social media and website, lead all communications activity for the organization including media relations, sponsorships, events and community activities.

and role is to manage Kids Paradise’s digital images and assets for the general public and key stakeholders (including institutional donors) and develop and distribute communication materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Create, schedule, and manage social media content with content tailored to each social media platform (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram…etc).

  2. Regularly update and edit website content.

  3. Prepare, organize and manage communication activities for advocacy, project management and fundraising activities.

  4. Coordinate between graphic design and programme implementation for newsletters, infographics, posters, and videos.

  5. Coordinate and organize media from the field team in Syria and prepare it for social media content and reports.

  6. Coordinate,organize and archive all media and manage records and information management in a systematic way with the media team.

  7. Work with the Board of Trustees and Executive Team to develop and promote fundraising events,

  8. Write promotional materials, website content, articles, publications and other communication materials as required,

10.Develop and coordinate KP social media strategy,

11.Craft key messages for specific groups, initiatives or projects,

12.Develop and product newsletters, press releases and fact sheets,

13.Organize new and innovative ways to communicate and engage community,

SKILLS AND QUALITIES OF POSTHOLDERS:

  1. Written and spoken fluency in English and better with Arabic

  2. Outstanding communication skills

  3. Computer proficiency

  4. Digital asset organizational skills

  5. Language-editing skills

6.expertise in communications, public relations, journalism or any related field.

7.Previous experience working for NGOs is preferred.
