Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases (Uniting) is a partnership which advocates and lobbies for increased funding for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The mission of Uniting is to create political will and an enabling environment for countries to achieve the World Health Organization’s 2030 road map goals to control, eliminate and eradicate NTDs. Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases is looking for a motivated Communications Manager to play a key role in helping us to increase the recognition and relevance of NTDs in global and regional agendas and increase resources to tackle NTDs.

Location: Remote/ home-based (UK)

Salary: c£47,000

Contract: 2 year fixed-term contract, with possibility of extension

We’re looking for a passionate and committed individual to develop and implement communication campaigns, create compelling content, support events, and drive traditional and social media engagement.

The role will include campaign development and management, partnership engagement, and content creation, as well as line management of a communications officer. Our audiences include donors, governments, policymakers, NGOs, influencers, researchers, and the public.

The right candidate will have significant communications experience and be confident developing integrated communication, influencing and campaign plans. They will be experienced in developing on and offline communication products and content to deliver on these plans. Experience using insight to create compelling content to influence agenda outcomes and/or change behaviours would be an advantage.

If you’re passionate about making a difference through compelling communications, are equally comfortable working as part of a team as you are taking initiative and working independently, have a creative flair and can write clear, concise and compelling copy for a range of channels, this is the role for you.

Interviews will take place remotely and candidates will be asked to prepare a short presentation as part of the interview process.
