Communications Intern (English)

1. Purpose of the Position:

The Communications intern’s role will be focused on assisting in writing and editing English content, and on translation from Arabic to English, to contribute to the Communications Department’s overall purpose, which is to craft proactive, innovative and compelling English and Arabic communications, content marketing and engagement in a mix of channels with our volunteers, donors and partners to share compelling stories to inform, motivate, inspire, and call to action, and to support positive behaviour change.

2. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the work of the communication department by writing and editing English language content, such as success stories, blogs, or op-eds for the website and social media channels and other printed materials.
• Work on translation tasks from Arabic to English.
• Assist in general coordination tasks for data collection and follow-ups to finalize the drafting and translation of content.

4. Education, Qualifications, Competences, Skills Required:

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to communicate in Arabic, orally and in writing
• Sound editing skills in English
• Experience in media, social media or journalism preferred
