JOB PURPOSE

Our social media platforms spread awareness about the numerous contexts we work in, advocate and champion the rights of displaced people, and keep people informed on the current work of each site. Our website shares general information on Collective Aid and gives a general outline of who we are and what we do.

The role of Communications Coordinator is crucial for the overall execution of our online platforms and website in ensuring that there is a strategic direction that is aligned with the organisation’s goals and mission.

CONDITIONS

-Travel budget to go to the different locations.

-Accommodation provided in volunteer houses.

-Stipend: 420€ a month (this is the only economical compensation provided).

-In charge of four advocacy offers and one social media intern.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

-Producing and managing content under a regular deadline 5 days a week.

-Managing the monthly calendar and scheduling posts.

-Website management.

-Copywriting and editing.

-Creating and implementing long-terms goals.

-Designing posts.

-Edition and production of videos.

-Engaging with followers and other organisations, including journalists.

-Organising fundraising campaigns with the Project Manager of the project and the Fundraiser Manager.

-Implementing the Communications Strategy

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

-Good knowledge of all Social Media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)

-Good knowledge of the European migration context and previous experience working with people on the move.

-Proven copywriting skills.

-Knowledge of graphic designer tools such Adobe Creative Cloud. The principal editing tools are Illustrator and Premiere.

-Experience with website design is desirable
