The OPC is a non-profit NGO and partner of the World Health Organization (WHO), active in French-speaking Africa for 45 years. Its actions currently reach 7 to 10 million people a year, in 5 countries. We target everything that can have an impact on vision.

Join our small, supportive and dynamic team at our Paris headquarters (7 employees, 20 volunteers), to manage our communications and fund-raising activities in France and the USA. This new position is in line with OPC’s strategic ambition to develop its reputation within its sector, diversify its partnerships and strengthen its financial resources, in France and abroad.

1° YOUR RESPONSABILITIES
Reporting to the Executive Director,

Cross-functional coordination
– You will be in constant contact with the Programs team at head office and in the field, the direct marketing agency in France, the digital agency in the USA, the Development Committee (3 directors), as well as the point of contact for the 100 members and 1,200 donors.
– You will participate in the collective elaboration and ensure the follow-up, evaluation and assessment of the annual communication and resource development plans.

Raising awareness and influence: corporate communications
– Develops and implements a calendar of actions and publications to support awareness and development objectives.
– Defines and commissions the collection of ad hoc data from the field (images, testimonials, statistics, etc.).
– Proposes, produces or commissions the production of web content, social networks, newsletters (6 to 8 per year), presentations, Essentiel, press releases, articles, etc.
– Organizes the OPC’s participation in major annual campaigns or events with its partners, principally World Sight Day and the French Ophthalmology Society congress.

Opening up opportunities: public and private partnerships
Provides operational support to the Development Committee and Management in
– monitoring and evaluating action plans: objectives, targets, meetings, etc.
– implementation of prospecting and advocacy actions (support, preparation of meetings, presence on collection platforms or collectives, etc.).
– enhancing and maintaining good relations with partners through concrete, regular actions.

Strengthen fundraising: individual donors
– Leads the editorial and operational calendar for marketing campaigns in France (3 to 5 per year) – in particular, provides the agency with ideas for topics and useful content elements, and participates in the production of media where appropriate.
— Leads the digitization of donor relations and direct marketing actions, with the aim of improving responsiveness, diversifying channels, and prospecting for new donors.
– Regularly monitors results in relation to objectives, and analyzes them so that actions can be adapted if necessary.
– Maintains regular, high-quality relations with individual donors, with a view to building loyalty and increasing donations – in particular, responding to requests and sending out thank-you notes.

2) YOUR PROFILE

Training and skills
Initial training Master’s degree in communications or marketing from a business school or equivalent.
English level C1 minimum. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential for success in this position.
Excellent writing skills.
Mastery of digital communication tools and social networks (Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram).
At least a first knowledge of the challenges and tools of direct marketing and donor relations, sponsorship development and partnerships.
You will use Office 365, WordPress, Canva, Brevo, Ohme.

Experience
At least 5 years’ experience, in a communications and/or fundraising position, in a structure appealing to the generosity of the public. Initial international experience, particularly in an Anglo-Saxon or African country, would be a plus.

Skills
Dynamism, autonomy, versatility and initiative.
You enjoy creating attractive content and convincing your contacts for the benefit of a worthy cause.
Ability to lead work with multiple internal and external stakeholders: employees, volunteers, service providers – in France and abroad.

3) CONDITIONS

This is a new position on a permanent contract.
Gross annual salary: 38,000 euros
Mutual insurance paid at 100%, transport pass paid at 75%, luncheon vouchers.
Possibility of partially working remote
