GENERAL CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed, or political affiliation.

MSF is a civil society initiative that brings together individuals committed to the assistance of other human beings in crisis. As such MSF is by choice an association.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

With the ambition to implement a new integrated Supply Solution, MSF OCBA has started the AKIBA Project December 2020 with the objective to identify, select, and develop the best suitable solution for the management of its supply chain.

MSF OCBA has a wide Supply Chain portfolio, managing not only Medical but also Logistical products over various continent such as Europe, Africa, South America, Middle East, and Asia. Its Supply Chain consists of ordering – buying – storing – shipping in all the places where it operates. It can be divided into: Medical and Logistical as well as International and Local, where Medical products are mainly bought internationally in Europe (France) and Logistical products locally (local market).

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

1. Communications:

  • Support the Project Manager in the preparation of project reports including status reports, and project dashboards.
  • Providing flexible, hands-on delivery support and assisting with effective communication between project management and the business.
  • Support efforts for internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Contribute to the development of AKIBA documentation.
  • Support the organisation of unit, and end to end, tests.

2. eLearning:

  • Participate in the definition of user needs using different methodologies.
  • Follow up AKIBA project development to ensure updated and adapted learning solutions.
  • Definition of learning materials and resources.
  • Design AKIBA learning program.Participate in the definition of the best learning tool or solutions that best fits learning goals (considering both pedagogical and technological issues).
  • Support design and development of learning materials and resources.
  • Create templates and other resources that can help the design and development of learning material.
  • Participate actively in the production of learning material of different type (videos, SCORM objects, documents, images, infographics, and others).
  • Integrate learning material into the TEMBO PLDE.
  • Maintain design documents, course content and lists of media elements.
  • Follow up, and promotion, of AKIBA’s eLearning Program.

Main responsibilities may include any of the steps of a learning cycle, including learning needs analysis, solutions design, development, implementation and/or evaluation. These are often done with a combination of internal clients (notably the Supply Chain Unit and the Operation) and internal and external resources (such as SME and instructional designers).

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Educational or Learning Sciences or e-learning related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience carrying out learning projects and similar tasks described above.
  • Experience in the use of technological tools that can be used for educational purposes.
  • Experience in designing and implementing training strategies.
  • Experience in Agile Methodologies, Design Thinking and UX is an asset.
  • Understanding of the principles and practice of user centered design/product development.
  • Experience in software testing, preparation of documentation and instructions will be an asset.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes will be an asset.
  • Experience in working for a diverse, non-technical, and geographically spread organization.
  • Experience in MSF is an asset.
  • English as working language, French and Spanish desirable.

2. Technical knowledge

  • Good command of Moodle, Totara/Mahara, Microsoft Office and/or Open Office.
  • Desirable knowledge of best practices frameworks and standard design methodologies: SCRUM, Agile, Design Thinking, etc.
  • SCORM and other standards of content production and editing technician with Articulate Storyline, including creation of Storyline, Rise, H5P and Vyond or other animation and video software, and editing and export in several languages.
  • HTML basic knowledge.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Position based in any MSF OCBA Hub (Barcelona, MSF-Spain office delegations, Amman, Dakar or Nairobi). Final location will be subject to the employability of the preselected candidate (residency, work permit, etc.).
  • Starting date: February 2024
  • Temporary position.
  • Full time job.
  • Duration: until project implementation, mid 2025.
  • Annual gross salary: HQ-3B (divided into twelve monthly payments) + Secondary Benefits based on the MSF-OCBA Reward Policy. Subjected to local conditions.
