Job Summary:

The Communications and Training Specialist for Global DEBI (Diversity, Equity, Belonging and Inclusion) will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic internal and external communications, learning initiatives, & knowledge management plans that support CARE’s Global DEBI Strategic Framework. This role is ideal for someone with a strong communication and/or training background that is passionate about inclusive communication and behavior change

We are looking for a DEBI practitioner that is self-motivated and structured, but also leans into creative thinking to drive impact at scale. This role will initially focus on the creation and launch of a global DEBI intro course and the ongoing communications management for CARE’s new DEBI Strategic Framework. Additional activities may include team workshop facilitation, training network management, and strengthening team KM practices.

Facilitation experience is required. Comfort with Spanish, French and/or Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Management Support of DEBI Training Initiatives – Support the Lead Manager, DEBI L&D in the development and execution of global DEBI Training initiatives
    To include, but not limited to:

    • Content creation of global DEBI learning through collaborative ideation with diverse stakeholders.
    • Upkeep of global DEBI learning metrics and data.
    • Virtual and in-person facilitation.
    • Training evaluation.
    • Supporting training of trainers and coordinating with training networks for impact at scale.
    • Research potential vendors or external learning partners.
  2. Communications and Knowledge Management – Develop and coordinate global outreach, communications, and support knowledge management across the DEBI CoE portfolio
    To include, but not limited to:

    • Plan or host staff dialogues around DEBI topics focusing on desired outcomes and outputs metrics.
    • Develop global communication cascades.
    • Develop written and visual communications materials specific to DEBI-related work.
    • Support leadership team and other key functions when developing internal communications.
    • Manage the DEBI SharePoint page.
  3. Other Team Project Support – Serve as collaborative team member of a growing team. Support project initiatives as needed across the DEBI Center of Excellence’s portfolio, particularly related to the current roll out of the Global DEBI Strategic Framework

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of education or work experience within the diversity, equity, belonging & inclusion space
  • 3+ years of professional facilitation experience and/or 3+ years of professional communications management experience is required. In the absence of one these, some demonstrated professional experience in that area must be combined with 3+ years of the other.
