Scope of work

Communication and Reporting Officer will participate in maintaining and expanding an effective outreach program to support all goals and strategies of the iMMAP Inc. Ukraine program. This will be achieved by developing and maintaining close contact with key stakeholders. Relatedly, the Communication and Reporting Officer will also produce internal and external communication materials and support the Global Communication Task Force. Insights gained from reaching out to and interacting with partners should help formulate future communications activities aligned with the global communications strategy and business development strategy.

Responsibilities

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Work with iMMAP Inc. Global Communications to plan, develop, and implement communication-related activities and products (e.g. outreach campaigns, website, and social media content) in accordance with iMMAP Inc. standards.
  • Actively participate in the Global Communication Task Force (maintain a line of communication, attend and contribute to meetings, and provide input on strategic documents).
  • Work cross-functionally within the Country Office to gather and craft compelling content that promotes and amplifies the impact, innovation, and influence of iMMAP Inc. Ukraine’s program, as well as our donors and partners across various internal and external channels.
  • Support the Country Office in producing and disseminating internal and external communications materials (e.g. reports, snapshots, and impact overviews) as per iMMAP Inc. standards.
  • Support the Capacity Strengthening Unit in producing training materials and products following iMMAP Inc. standards.
  • Undertake any other activities as assigned.

REPORTING

  • Support the program team with drafting high-quality monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports in line with donor requirements.

OUTREACH

  • Reach out to existing and potential partners to showcase iMMAP Inc.’s services and point back to the relevant iMMAP Inc. focal point for technical support.
  • Identify gaps in partners and engage with them to initiate or restore participation in data sharing or information management support.
  • Develop and maintain positive and close contact with key partners and ensure follow-up.
  • Where and when required appropriate, represent iMMAP Inc. Ukraine with partners.
  • Undertake any other outreach activities as assigned.

Chain of command

The Communication and Reporting Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator and the overall supervision of the iMMAP Ukraine Country Representative.

Requirements

Please note that this is a national position in Ukraine. Only citizens of Ukraine are allowed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least two years of professional experience with development or humanitarian organizations.
  • Professional working proficiency (verbal and written) in English and Ukrainian. Knowledge of the Russian language would be considered an asset.
  • The ability to appropriately communicate (verbal, written, and visual) information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Content writing experience: articles, reports, and social media.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe software packages, particularly Illustrator and InDesign would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent networking and coordination skills.
  • Well-organized with close attention to detail.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
