Job Description

We are looking for Solar Installers and Electricians that have commercial experience. This position requires travel. We pay Per Diem, Hotel expense, and mileage reimbursement. Our projects range from Northern CA to Southern CA.

Lead Solar Installer/Electrician Requirements Are, But Not Limited To

  • 2+ years experience as a Commercial Solar Installer
  • 2+ years experience as a Commercial Electrician
  • Ability to travel
  • Construction experience

Lead Solar Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, inspect, and maintain solar PV systems for customers.
  • Assess the environment, detect and mitigate any hazards associated with installation.
  • Map out where everything will go, and place components according to those diagrams.
  • Seal the system against weather, using safety codes and manufacturer specifications.
  • Label, install, and terminate electrical wiring.
  • Test the system and measure grounding systems and make any adjustments to the controls.

Electrician Job Responsibilities

  • Participates in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls and devices by interpreting blueprints, manufacturers’ specifications, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Summary/Objective

The Lead solar installer/Electrician assembles, installs, or maintains solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics while being the crew lead.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.’
