About the Team

The role of Finance Manager – FP&A in TalkTalk’s Consumer division is a critical role, working in partnership with the Head of Finance (HoF) to produce timely, high quality financial reporting and analysis of the TalkTalk Consumer Division monthly results and financial plans.

The role will be pivotal in delivering the 5 year, budget and forecast cycles for the Consumer Division, ensuring insight and analysis to the Consumer Leadership team as well as TalkTalk Group. They will act as a key conduit across the Consumer Finance team to ensure high quality reporting, analysis and planning is delivered to the business.

About the Role

  • You will take ownership of the monthly results reporting in the Consumer business, ensuring the reporting timetable is understood, communicated and adhered to, and owning the relationship with the Core Finance team who produce the underlying management accounts.
  • You will play a key role in transforming the underlying management accounts into meaningful reporting for the business unit and in working with the HoF to link the business unit performance with underlying business activity and initiatives.
  • You will own the planning and forecasting timetable and process, and ensure that the forecasting process within the business unit is efficient, effective and as accurate as possible.
  • ‘Telling the story’ of past and future performance, and also movements between forecasts, will be critical.

In order to be successful in the role you will need to develop and nurture key relationships to develop a high level of business understanding. This will be key to telling the story, and providing insightful analysis that supports decision making.

You will also have experience in:

  • Improvement of reporting processes
  • Accurate and clear reporting of working capital and cash performance
  • Experience of understanding and challenging the key change programmes in the business
  • Evidence of partnering and influencing both finance and non finance stakeholders
