Commercial Finance Analyst

CMA Recruitment Group are proud to be representing a fast paced, high growth business on the east side of the Southampton area, assisting their recruitment process for a Commercial Finance Analyst on a permanent basis.

Our client has experienced incredible growth over the last few years and has plans in place to continue this growth trajectory. As a part of this plan, the Commercial Finance Analyst role has been created as a part of newly established team to support the business with the understanding, interpretation, analysis and reporting of key operational & finance data.

What will the role involve?

• Working with the Commercial Finance Team in supplying, analysing, and providing insight on key operational & financial data to help inform business decision making and support key operational decisions;
• Understanding the cost levers and KPIs of the business;
• Understanding the Financial impact that Operational factors and decisions have on the business;
• Suggestions for process improvements and the removal of waste to optimise Business Performance;
• Supporting management to analyse business’ cases and/or the return on investment for expenditure and other operational decisions;
• Working within the Commercial Finance and the FP&A teams in the operational forecasting of the business;
• Working with others to ensure value for money in the supply chain;
• Supporting annual, mid-year and ad-hoc budgeting;
• Supporting the wider finance team with month end reporting, statutory account information, business analysis and other finance tasks as appropriate;
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

Suitable Candidate

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to convey complex financial information in a way that non-finance stakeholders will be able to understand and use effectively;
• Commercial mind set with a customer first approach;
• Excellent interpersonal skills to help build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with and manipulate large data sets.
