The Service
Strategic Procurement have recently undertaken a review and have amalgamated two key area’s of the department, the London Construction Programme (LCP) and the Dynamic Purchasing Systems Team (DPS) to create a new ‘Revenue Team’ which will be responsible for delivering both work streams for the Council.
About The Role
The team are required to implement and new DPS categories identified as the best route to market, carry out any enhancements to existing DPS categories to support the delivery of changing demands and priorities for commissioning services. In addition, the team manage the ongoing Accreditation and Enrolment services, financial assessments and compliance of the supply chain.
Both the LCP and DPS are an integral part of the Strategic Procurement Function and play a key role in the delivery of the Council’s Procurement Strategy, alongside the delivery of the Procurement Strategy both workstreams are fundamental to supporting delivery of the Council’s Community Wealth Building and Social Value Agenda’s.
About You
In order to be successful in this role you must have experience in either implementing a DPS or a thorough understanding and working practice of how the DPS works along with sound knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and Local Authority legislation.
You will also need to be somebody that as a ‘can do, flexible approach’ to their work with proven project management experience, (qualification not essential) along with excellent Supplier Relationship and presenting skills.
