You could write and deliver bids for the British Red Cross Health team. You could ensure our existing, and potential NHS partners know why we’re so well recommended, and the impact our services can have on their patient care. You could work with our existing operational teams to ensure they know how to sell our services in tender and negotiation meetings. You could take a strategic approach to ensuring our growth is sustainable and manageable, so that our standards remain high.

A day in the life of a Commercial Bid Manager will involve:

Bid Management – Delivering commercial bids with the aim to develop business and build the British Red Cross customer base within our Health team. This includes development, risk management and focusing on continuous improvement.
Offering market intelligence and insight – Keeping up to date with market knowledge and ensuring commercial growth is in line with changes to government policy and sector developments.
Relationship Management – Building strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to assist with meeting growth plans.
Team Development – Coaching and supporting operational teams before tender and negotiation meetings. Creating resources for the team where required.

To be a successful Commercial Bid Manager, You’ll need:

Experience and knowledge of bid management, working on contracts of above £500k+
A good working understanding of how to write and analyse reports based on data and financials.
Experience using tender tracking software and tender portals.
The ability to develop and support wider teams with the bidding process.
Strong IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
