• Provide clinical interview and assessment within UNRWA health centers and recommendations • Provide psychological support, psycho education (for the beneficiary and his/her care givers) and refer internally and externally as needed.
• In collaboration with social workers and/or nurses, conduct awareness sessions to the community, regarding mental health and psychological issues.
• Conduct awareness sessions for staff, when asked, regarding mental health and psychological issues.
• Coordinate with the staff of UNRWA (nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, and school counselors when needed) for a better case management.
• Conduct clinical assessment for special need cases and refer to specialist • Support the PHC on the implementation of the mhGAP-IG training, when applicable.
• Report to the senior mental health advisor with whom coordination and meetings will take place to ensure the harmony of the work in different areas.
• Maintain a database of counseled beneficiaries and awareness sessions and manage reporting as required by the Project Manager.
• Attend team meetings in LFO.
• Report administratively to respective area health officer.
• Respect beneficiary confidentiality and address needs and requests in a professional way
• Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned.”
