The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Lawyer to join our team of highly successful clinical negligence lawyers in our Manchester office. You will be engaged in challenging and rewarding casework, working on a varied caseload of clinical negligence, multi-track claims. You will have the opportunity to represent clients who have suffered from a wide range of injuries as a result clinical negligence for example delayed diagnosis of cancer and other conditions, and substandard medical treatment including surgery.

With a passion for blending your technical expertise with your outstanding communication and client care skills, you will take pride in delivering a first class legal service to our clients. Having the confidence and ability to take appropriate daily decisions on cases to ensure swift progression, will be key to your success. The role

As a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years’ PQE, you will deal with all aspects of running a case from initial interview of client to trial, with an understanding of the issues involved in dealing with multi-track cases, such as costs and the litigation process.

You will need to be ideally operating as a Court Grade B with experience of running a varied multi-track clinical negligence caseload. Therefore you will need to have excellent knowledge of the law relating to clinical negligence and the civil litigation process. The role requires excellent prioritisation skills and meticulous attention to detail to enable you to construct clear and effective arguments, yielding the best result for our clients. You will also be a team player and will enjoy engaging in marketing and business development opportunities.

A day in the life of a Lawyer is never the same, however a typical day may include carrying out relevant investigations, obtaining relevant documents, preparing witness statements; preparing for Conferences and Court hearings (CCMCs/Trials).
