The Department of Patient Access has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Clinical Business Operations Representative to work at the BPEI Naples facility. The Clinical Business Operations Representative position reports to the Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations and is responsible for independently performing all the functions related to On-site Patient Access, Ancillary/Clinic Support Services and Providers’ clinical activities within the assigned clinical area/service line. This position supports UHealth’s vision, mission, goals and objectives by providing efficient patient support services and demonstrating a commitment to service excellence

  • Assist with the coordination of the day to day providers’ clinical activities within the assigned clinical area/service line.
  • Ensures that clinic exam rooms are clean, orderly, and well stocked with necessary supplies
  • Reboots exam room computers and ensures before start of clinic and ensures all applicable software are functioning properly.
  • Prints appointment arrivals, verifies testing pre-ordered by the providers, ensure testing are financially cleared.
  • Assists with starting UChart and Merge software images for providers prior to rooming patient.
  • Uploads external medical records into EMR via UImaging or Radiant/PACS
  • Provides service recovery as soon as a service breakdown is identified and/or escalates accordingly.
  • Schedule external appointments as indicated by provider if applicable.
  • Ensures all medications are locked and secured with current expiration dates and discards of expired medications into the Universal Pharmaceutical Waste bin.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Multilingual (English/Spanish, English/Creole, English/French, English/Arabic) a plus.
  • Must possess excellent, critical thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to function independently and exercise sound judgment in making decisions consistent with departmental guidelines/objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and float to multiple areas as needed
  • Punctuality, attendance, flexibility and adaptability are essential in order to meet departmental needs and ensure appropriate clinic flow.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
