Overview of Position

Our client areas of expertise cover infrastructure, procurement, project management, financial management and human resources

Role Objectives

Our client Office for Projects Services is seeking to recruit through third party a highly qualified local Engineers with good experience in the field of civil projects over all governorates of Yemen who will work together with the Renewable Energy Specialist to achieve the objective of the assignment achieves the following tasks.

• Working under Our client sub-projects related to solar pumping, water wells, Pumping station, water network and electro-mechanical projects.
• Coordinates with local, governmental authorities and social associations related our client projects and mandates.
• Carry out all required QA/QC inspection and test for construction and material.
• Ensure enforcement of safeguard requirements in all our client projects stages.
• Follow up and report on progress of our client projects on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
• Efficiently use field monitoring Applications for reports and other our client applicable tools in all stages of projects.
• Lead and supervise the implementation of the HSSE systems and requirements, GRM, PSEA/SH in the field and any other our client regulations related to the infrastructure work.
• Ensure effective and efficient social engagement in line with our client mandate.
• Carry out field visits to target facilities to inspect and verify the actual needs, collect data, taking measurements, etc.
• Preparation of specialized engineering studies on a variety of subjects including, but not limited to electrical studies, plans, specifications, BoQs and tender documentations for construction projects varying in complexity, for a portion or the entire project. Services may include preliminary plans and cost estimates, necessary fieldwork, drafting, design, surveying, bid assistance, construction inspection, and project management to facilitate review and approval processes, in addition to providing a detailed estimate of cost for the work.
• Coordinate, facilitate and/or attend project-related meetings, such as pre-bid, pre- construction and project progress meetings.
• Perform various tasks as requested for the preparation of engineering construction plans. The desired services will include, but not be limited to the gathering of required electric data and providing digital submissions. It is understood that the final work product will be a complete document that will contain all known site features and will be ready for use as a base for final engineering plans.
• Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of projects including designing processes by executing/administering a variety of technical design transactions, preparing materials/documentations, complying with our client processes and procedures.
• Working in coordination with our client Engineers, City Engineers, Social Safeguard Officer, M&E, and Communication, logistic and other parties.
• Liaises with Local Authorities and social representatives for nomination of targeted facilities.
• Working in coordination with our client design team, City Engineers and Social Safeguard Officer.
• The consultant will prepare and deliver the required documents in a professional way within specified working period(s).
• Monitoring and Progress Controls Availability in the field, progress reports, HSSE monitoring and reporting, assessment reports QA/QC reports, commissioning and handover reports, reporting via the monitoring tools and applications.

Further information Qualifications and Experience

• Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education) University degree in Civil engineering
• 4 Years working experience in civil projects
• Very good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in the usage of computers and software packages (Autodesk, MS office, etc.) Language Skills
• Very Good Knowledge in written and oral of English and Arabic languages is required.
