Job Summary
The Department Manager plays a key role in maximizing the sales and profitability of the department. He/she works closely with the Area Managers/Boutique Managers to enhance the commercial performance and maintain excellent relations with key suppliers and ensure the implementation of action plans in accordance with the strategic direction of the Division Manager.
Main Responsibilities
Stock Management
» Review stock level with stock control and Division Manager and implement actions accordingly
» Follow up with the area managers to ensure optimization of the stock level usage
» Participate in setting up the purchase plan
» Ensure all team members are following the established procedures of ordering/ transfer
Profile
Expert knowledge of own discipline
Possesses expert knowledge of advanced concepts in primary discipline, a broad knowledge of related disciplines, as well as an in-depth knowledge of relevant organizational policies and procedures
Applies knowledge to support the division objectives and to further the mandate of the organization
Applies a broad knowledge of best management practices; defines objectives and work flows, positions reporting relationships in such a way as to obtain optimum effectiveness for the division
Keeps abreast of new developments in area of professional discipline and job
