Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Thai candidates for a potential Chief of Party position on a USAID-funded program in Thailand.

The Thailand Enhance Activity aims to strengthen citizen-centric local governance in Thailand. In particular, it aims to strengthen capacity of local government and non-governmental stakeholders in citizen centric governance; strengthen communications, networking, and learning among government and non-governmental stakeholders to increase innovations that will amplify citizen voice and accountability in local governance; and ensure wider adoption and/or institutionalization of successful local innovations that support citizen-centric governance.

This is anticipated to be a full-time position based in Bangkok.

Responsibilities:

* Serve as the principal point of contact for procedural and substantive matters.

* Coordinate and ultimately be responsible for all contract management and implementation.

* Serve as the primary liaison with USAID/RDMA on technical matters and adjust activities and operations in response to USAID/RDMA technical direction.

*Ensure quality control and the overall responsiveness of technical assistance provided under the award.

* Provide overall leadership, management and general technical direction of the entire project;

* Ensure an integrated vision among different components and actors, and a focus on achieving the results defined in the award

* Identify issues and risks related to project implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate adjustments.

Qualifications:

* Master’s degree or higher in public administration, international relations, or a related field;

* At least ten (10) years of demonstrated, progressively responsible experience in the successful implementation of civil society strengthening, public administration, local government support, or governance reform programs;

* Exceptional managerial skills and demonstrated experience in managing donor-funded projects of similar size and scope; USAID/USG experience preferred;

* Demonstrated ability to engage in multi-stakeholder dialogue, including sustaining partnerships and strong working relationships with donors, Royal Thai government counterparts, academic institutions, and civil society;

* Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and communicate his/her vision to partners and colleagues;

* Proven experience navigating complex and high-pressure operating environments;

* Proficiency in written and spoken English is required

* Experience working in Southern Thailand preferred
