
Seleni Institute
The Director of Finance and Operations holds primary managerial accountability for the planning and management of financial, operational and physical resources for Seleni’s infrastructure. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role directly participates in day-to-day operations, budgets and long range planning for the organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
· Ensures that Seleni Institute meets all relevant statutory requirements including taxation, NGO status and other legal and regulatory requirements.
· Directs all aspects of accounting and financial management including development of a framework for policies and procedures, approvals and authorities, and overall protocols related to budget development, forecasting and monitoring processes and other financial reporting mechanisms.
· Oversees the day to day accounting, payment and reporting functions.
· Works with auditors as required during annual audits.
· Prepares weekly reports, forecasts and monthly reports and reconciles bank accounts on a monthly basis.
· Prepares semi- annual budget and coordinates the development of the annual operating plan.
· Develops and monitors Seleni’s risk management processes to ensure that program and organizational risks are adequately mitigated.
· Oversees the management of all supplier and organizational contracts and financial commitments.
· Processes all clinical billing (via TherapyNote), managing insurance payments, credit card payments and is the point person for any queries.
Human Resources:
· Oversees all aspects of human resources management at the organizational level including development of policies and procedures, recruitment, hiring, onboarding and compensation.
· Manages the payroll and benefits function and maintains relationships with providers.
· Generates bi-weekly payroll reports together with the distribution of commission statements
· Negotiates and Renew annual insurance plans.
Technology and Administration:
· Oversees all aspects of Seleni Institute administration including supplies, equipment, materials and the development of policies and procedures.
· Directly handles the negotiations and management of leases, contracts and financial commitments.
Other:
· Provides support to the Executive Director as required including handling regular financial reporting requirements with the Board, preparing specialized reports as required, and providing targeted services to the Executive Director in response to in-the-moment financial, information technology, human resources or administrative needs.
· Undertakes special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
· Manage CAQH Pro-View for all in-network clinicians.
Requirements:
· Passionate about parental mental health.
· Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
· Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 7+ years of relevant work experience.
· Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with employees, clients, suppliers.
· Flexible with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Creative and analytical thinking skills.
Salary Range:
$60,000 – $80,000 a year
Location:
The role is based in New York and the ideal candidate will be local and familiar with the area, but the role will have flexibility to work from home. Our physical office is located at 122 E 64th St., New York, NY 10065 (btw. Park and Lexington Avenues).
