Where you come in:
We’re searching for Child Wise’s next CEO. This is a full-time, permanent position and as a key and critical appointment, will be based in a location that works for the successful applicant. Reporting to Save the Children Australia’s Group CEO, and supported by an exceptional Board, you will lead the growth and impact of Child Wise. In this key leadership role, you will leverage existing partnerships and relationships, grow new partnerships and alliances, recruit and retain top talent, ensure the delivery of world-class training and policy advice, and improve Child Safeguarding measures across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
A proven leader, you are cognisant of political, economic, social, and technological contexts as they relate to Child Safeguarding and Child Protection. You are a vocal advocate for child abuse prevention and passionately deliver influential and cogent public messages. With a commitment to social justice and social inclusion initiatives, you will lead a sector paradigm shift to see Child Wise recognised as the leader in the crea tion of child-safe organisations and communities in Australia, the region and around the world.
You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering confident and cogent public messages to advocate for, and negotiate on behalf of, our clients
  • Creating child-safe organisations and communities in Australia and the region
  • Being a thought leader, able to leverage people, technologies, and stories to create impact
  • Utilising exceptional business acumen and relationship management skills to drive sustainable growth and identifying ongoing opportunities for further business development
  • Demonstrating commitment to social justice and social inclusion initiatives, and
  • Guiding others through important change and growth initiatives.

Does this sound like you?
You are commercial and a driver of innovation. You have a deep understanding of Social Enterprise and are excited to utilise your commercial nous to realise tangible results for an important cause in a leading For-Purpose organisation. Your experience is extensive and may include corporate business as well as exposure to child-safeguarding practice. You’re driven to deliver and have the people-leading capability to also motivate others to deliver their best results. Comfortable in a fast-growing organisation, you thrive in dynamic, multi-dimensional environments.
This role requires:

  • A proven leader who is highly cognisant of changing political, economic, social and technological contexts,
  • A commercial operator, with a clear capability for departmental budget management including the delivery of accurate budgets and financial reports,
  • An individual with a demonstrated capability in designing responsive change strategies, and
  • Experience in child-safeguarding current and evolving best-practice.
