Tasks
- Deploying and setting up new Oracle database infrastructure.
- Installing, maintaining, administering, and patching Oracle appliance bare metal systems utilizing virtualization technology.
- Executing on-premises and cloud database migrations.
- Managing patching and updates for databases, with a focus on utilizing Ansible for large-scale patching.
- Deploying and configuring high availability databases, such as Data Guard for the Enterprise Edition, dbvisit for the Standard Edition, and Real Application Clusters (RAC).
- Proposing innovative solutions tailored to meet customer requirements, such as implementing Snapshots and container databases.
- Implementing, configuring, and overseeing database backup strategies.
- Conducting database recovery procedures following incidents.
- Facilitating data replication and transfer utilizing various technologies like RMAN duplicate, Data Pump Export/Import, and Oracle GoldenGate for data replication, filtering, and transformation.
- Addressing database performance issues through in-depth analysis and optimization efforts.
- Providing Oracle database administration and troubleshooting support to users.
- Conducting licensing audits.
- Scripting tasks through shell scripting and crafting SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
- Preparing comprehensive technical documentation for projects and solutions you deliver.
Requirements
- You are fluent in German, and you are proficient in English.
- You possess verified expertise in managing the Oracle database server.
- You exhibit outstanding proficiency and substantial hands-on experience in Oracle RMAN backup and restoration.
- Oracle performance optimization is within your skill repertoire.
- You are familiar with achieving high availability through technologies like Dataguard or Real Application Cluster.
- You excel as a collaborative team member.
- You are fluent in German, and you are proficient in English.
- You are capable of sharing insights on Apex and PL/SQ
