UNOPS mission is to help people in need by strengthening the capacity of the United Nations, governments and other partners to carry out their infrastructure, procurement and project management activities in a sustainable and effective manner. .
Within these three main areas of expertise, the organization provides its partners with transactional, advisory and implementation services, for projects ranging from the construction of schools and hospitals to the purchase of goods. and services, including the training of local workers. Under the direction and supervision of the Project Manager, the Logistician Driver has a customer-oriented approach and a high sense of responsibility. He must show courtesy, tact and an ability to work with people of different national and cultural origins.
The Logistician Driver cannot often be required to move in complex and difficult environments with limited resources and end up staying there overnight (in exceptional cases).
The Logistician Driver is responsible for the following tasks:
- Fournir des services de conduite fiables et sécurisées par: la conduite de véhicules en toute sécurité pour le transport du personnel autorisé, la collecte et la distribution du courrier, des documents et d’autres articles; de rencontrer le personnel officiel à l’aéroport et de faciliter les formalités d’immigration et de douane, en cas de besoin.
- Assurer le maintien quotidien du véhicule attribué par la vérification de la propreté, de la sécurité, du niveau d’essence et d’eau, vérification de la batterie et des freins, etc…
- Assurer une prestation fiable et sécurisée, une bonne utilisation et un bon entretien du (des) véhicule(s) de l’UNOPS. Assurer les réparations quotidiennes du véhicule en effectuant à temps les petites réparations et en prévoyant les réparations majeures, les vidanges, le réglage de la pression des pneus, etc…
- Garantir la disponibilité de tous les documents requis / fournitures, y compris, l’assurance des véhicules, les registres des véhicules, le répertoire du bureau, la carte de la ville / pays, la trousse de premiers soins, et les pièces de rechange nécessaires.
- Veiller à ce que des mesures immédiates telles que requises par les règlements sont prises en cas d’implication dans un accident
- Aider le Service Support à recevoir le Rapport d’inspection, les dispositifs de stockage, la tenue de registres d’inventaire.
- Assister dans le domaine de l’approvisionnement local en particulier pour l’obtention l’obtention de cotation, de spécifications etc.
