CanadaHelps is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Charity Engagement Associate ready to grow themselves and the CanadaHelps partner community through their daily efforts and service mindset.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Canada’s first, and North America’s most successful, social enterprises. We are a growing, dedicated team of entrepreneurial-minded peers who have a passion for helping charities succeed online. We democratize access to technology by providing best-in-class, easy-to-use online fundraising software and training to more than 25,000 registered charities across Canada (and the number of charities is rapidly growing). We are the market leader and over the past 20 years we’ve helped over 3 million Canadians donate over $2B to Canadian charities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Charity Engagement you will be a member of the engine of the Charity Engagement team at CanadaHelps. Every day you will be doing your best to reach out to as many of CanadaHelps’ partner charities as possible in order to be there with them on their digital journeys and ensure the continued success of CanadaHelps in its role as a vital infrastructure for Canada’s charities. The charitable sector is in a period of rapid digital transformation and you will play your part in making sure charities have the technology, education, and resources in order to succeed online.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis, reaching out by phone to as many partner charities as you can, meeting them where they are at and helping them on their digital journey, focusing primarily on our most transformational tool: our new Donor Management System.
  • Listening, asking questions, and sometimes challenging charity partners in order to support them in upping their digital and fundraising game.
  • Uncovering and recording key pieces of information in order to identify how we may best serve partner charities.
  • Determining the best course of action for partners, leading them to next steps, and – where appropriate – connecting and passing along to the right team member.
  • Exceed performance targets.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and excellence of the Charity Engagement team through constant engagement, questioning, and ideation.
  • Elicit and collect feedback from charity partners on CanadaHelps products and services, always looking for ways we can innovate and improve.
  • Prospecting to identify ideal partners for CanadaHelps’ various products and services.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of CanadaHelps products and services.
  • Keeping all records of activity logged in CRM – if it isn’t logged, it didn’t happen.

Skills & Experience:

  • Passion for impact, and a hunger to learn and contribute;
  • 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in selling to small and medium-sized businesses;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Teamwork;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Adept with Technology

You will excel in this role if you:

  • Are a true self-starter with a can-do attitude;
  • Are intrinsically motivated, and do your best work because you just have to ;
  • Have a hunger to learn and contribute and are looking to grow – fast;
  • Take responsibility for your own success and the success of your team;
  • Love a challenge and work well independently or across teams to get the job done;
  • Are a true team player;
  • Are results-oriented;
  • Have a service mindset and a desire to go above and beyond partner expectations;

Here’s what we have to offer:

  • A full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary, benefits, and RRSP matching.
  • A chance to make a difference and a unique opportunity to add major value as a key member of a small team in a forward-thinking, technology-focused environment, with a lifestyle-friendly atmosphere.
  • The opportunity to work with and learn from highly-respected professionals (and super nice people who want to change the world for the better!)

At CanadaHelps, we are deeply committed to upholding a culture of respect, equality, and inclusion.
