The CHANGE OFFICER coordinates and implements change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance. S/He conducts research, analysis, planning, facilitation, execution, and communication of organizational change management tasks and activities to help ensure that transition objectives are achieved. S/He provides the required data/information to guide senior leaders and executives in their decision-making and fulfill changes in the organization. S/He coordinates with all levels of managers as they help their direct reports through transitions. S/He also coordinates with project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

The role holder will also provide support to the Executive Team in terms of documentation and ensuring agreed action points are delivered.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Forward-looking with a holistic approach
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Change management certification or designation desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, public administration, social sciences, or related field
  • Effectively organizes, coordinates, and leads small groups and/or organizational change management aspects of project work to accomplish specific goals
  • Relates well to all kinds of people both inside and outside the organization.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships that encourage and support collaboration, knowledge sharing, communication, and teamwork.
  • Proven influencing skills with the ability to communicate compliance requirements to stakeholders in the most appropriate way
  • Proven planning, setting objectives, and determining courses of action
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with the ability to draw out complex data from various sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex issues to both staff and peers
  • Ability to manage a varied workload quickly and efficiently, and work effectively under pressure to organize and prioritize work for yourself and others to ensure deadlines are met
  • An energetic, flexible, and proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team setting
  • Demonstrable commitment to equal opportunities and an awareness of what constitutes good practice
