An exciting opportunity had arisen to work with Change Grow Live (CGL) Positive Choices in Coventry.
CGL Positive Choices young people’s service provides a fully integrated risk-taking behaviour (Substance Misuse, Sexual Health, Unhealthy Partner Relationships and Hidden Harm) service across Coventry City for young people up to the age of 18 (24 if LAC). The service works in a holistic way with young people and works closely with local partners in ensuring a multi-agency approach to supporting young people and families with complex issues.
The post holder will carry a mixed caseload of young people meeting the criteria for our service and will provide full and brief comprehensive assessments, advice and guidance, structured interventions and support serious and complex issues.
The successful candidate will have experience of multi-agency work, assessment of needs and delivery of evidence-based interventions to support and empower young people and their families who are experiencing problems with substance misuse, poor sexual health, unhealthy relationships and hidden harm.
The post comes with a specialist lead role of children and young people in care which will enhance the referral pathways between partners and stakeholders and the support offered to the young people and families. This post will involve outreach working across different locations to engage young people and families as well as a central base.
