CEO

RedR UK

Would you like to be RedR UK’s next CEO?

RedR’s mission is to develop the capacity and resilience of aid workers, communities and organisations in humanitarian, development and peace building contexts.

Founded more than 40 years ago in the UK Engineering industry, RedR began by providing training to engineers who found themselves working in disaster relief. Over the last 40 years the organisation has broadened its work to support building skills and capabilities for anyone working in the humanitarian sphere.

Over the last two years RedR trained more than 8,000 people in over 106 countries through a range of online and in person learning covering areas as diverse as water supply management, building damage assessment, climate change, disaster reduction and gender-based violence in situations of armed conflict, to name a few.

As RedR embarks on the next stage of its strategy it is looking for a leader who can build on these foundations. Increasing the number and range of courses delivered; the breadth and relevance of our contents; the speed with which we can respond to new demands. We are looking to diversify the channels and geographies that we work in, maximise local content where possible and enhance recognition for individuals who have completed these courses as we work to deliver our vision of a world in which sufficient competent and committed personnel are available and responding to humanitarian needs.

You’ll bring a history of successful and inspiring leadership within a high-performing charity, social enterprise, or the private sector, with sound experience of business and strategic planning. You will have an engaging and collaborative style, able to both motivate and inspire your team as well as interact with a wide range of stakeholders, such as donors and grantors, corporate and charitable representatives, humanitarians and senior public leaders. You also have an appreciation of leading within a regulated environment, with the appropriate level of emphasis on business and strategic planning, finances, governance and other statutory requirements.

If you have an interest in leading exciting opportunities for RedR UK in helping our global society meet the challenges of the future, and have a skill set to match the job description, please apply without delay.
