We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Content Officer to join our Marketing and Income Generation Directorate. You will join us working 35 hours per week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £32,894.59 per annum plus excellent benefits.
Please note, this role is a remote based role with occasional travel for meetings etc.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2021, we helped 137,000 cats and kittens. That’s the equivalent of around 375 cats a day!
The Digital Content team is a small but busy team within the Marketing and Income Generation directorate, responsible for the content on Cats Protection’s national website. Our aim is to keep it engaging, relevant, consistent and on brand – as well as increasing Cats Protection’s visibility online through search.
Responsibilities of our Digital Content Officer:
In this varied role you will be responsible for everything from keyword research and generating content ideas to creating optimised copy, working with other departments and using analytics skills to report back on a campaign’s effectiveness.
What we’re looking for in our Digital Content Officer:
Significant experience in writing SEO focused content for a digital audience
Significant experience working with a CMS (Content Management System)
Proven ability to write specialist SEO website content for a range of differing audiences
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of web accessibility and usability standards
