The Opportunity

The CVA PM will oversee multi-million, multi-donor funded awards implemented in various locations of the earthquake affected areas, including, but not limited to Gaziantep, Hatay and other earthquake affected provinces. The PM will be responsible for managing and expanding SCI portfolio and area of operations, leading CVA Feasibility & Risk Analysis (FRA), providing strategic recommendations to sectors leads and the Head of Programme (HoP)/PDQ. Together with the HoP/PDQ, the PM will be responsible for the planning and quality of CVA activities. She / He will be managing a team of coordinators and officers, and whenever needed will support the recruitment and induction of new team members. Together with Save the Children technical advisors at the national and regional levels, s/he will be responsible to develop the capacities of SC CVA team, sectoral teams and SC partners in Türkiye.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Essential:

  • Substantial experience of working in Cash and Voucher Assistance, leading teams that are implementing cash and voucher programming including multi-purpose cash assistance, voucher programs and cash for specific sectoral outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, plan, deliver and evaluate cash and voucher assistance programs, including proposal development, all aspects of program reporting, cluster engagement and reporting, as well as donor engagement.
  • Education to BSc/BA level in a relevant subject or equivalent field experience
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Previous experience of CVA project management, including multi-million dollars awards
  • Previous experience in working with partner organizations in Humanitarian context (preferably on CVA)
  • Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation standards and procedures applied to CVA programming.
  • Experience in leading training and set capacity building plans for staff
  • Understanding of the humanitarian cluster system, experience in representing international organizations in external forums.
  • Knowledge of institutional donors and high experience of developing proposals related to CVA
  • Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Turkish
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • High level of written and spoken English and Turkish.
  • The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of SC; in particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support

Desired:

  • Experience in leading CVA Feasibility and Risk Assessment
  • Knowledge of Market Based Programming and market analysis tools
  • Previous experience in working on Cash Plus programming, and referral systems such as nutrition and/or protection and in cash for shelter (i.e. renting, houses’ repairs etc.)
  • Knowledge of Basic Need Assessment Tools
  • Knowledge of HEA and CoD
  • Familiarity with nutrition surveys
  • Experience or knowledge of working and living challenging contexts
  • Specific experience of managing BHA, FCDO, DEC, ECHO and other major projects
  • Knowledge of consortia working
  • Arabic language skills is desirable.

Position holder will be based in Gaziantep or Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
